It was developed to provide a high-performance mobile suit that could outperform the RGM-89 Jegan and counter the threat of Neo Zeon potentially mass-producing the Newtype-use MSN-03 Jagd Doga. Despite its advanced design, only a limited number of RX-94 units were produced, specifically for use by ace pilots.Although its armor and frame are made from slightly lower-grade materials than the original nu Gundam, the RX-94 achieves about 80% of its performance. It retains the Psycho-Frame and the ability to use Fin Funnels. For non-Newtype pilots, INCOM Units can be installed on the backpack to provide an alternative form of remote weaponry.
