P-Bandai: HGUC 1/144 GM Spartan [REISSUE]Release Date: September 2025 [3rd Batch Release: January 2026]Price: 2,640 YenINITIAL RELEASERelease Date: December 2022Price: 2,420 YenAfter 33 years, the long-awaited GM Spartan finally joins the HGUC GunPla lineup! Originally designed by Hitoshi Fukuchi for the Fukuchi Mobile Suit Station feature in Bandai’s Model Journal 119 (June 1989), this legendary design has at last been realized in plastic form with brand-new molds and its full arsenal of specialized equipment.Weapons & EquipmentMinigun – A three-barrel Gatling-style firearm bound at the muzzle, delivering devastating close-quarters firepower.Heat Knife – Stored on its backpack, this superheated blade cuts through enemy armor with ease.Wired Anti-MS Missiles (WAMM) – A pair of SACLOS-guided missiles mounted on the right shoulder. Highly accurate but leave the Spartan vulnerable while tracking its target.Beam Sabers – Equipped to the right arm’s armor and detachable when in use, perfect for finishing strikes in melee combat. The RGM-79S GM Spartan, a variation of the RGM-79G GM Command, was developed for jungle and subtropical warfare. It saw deployment with the Earth Federation Forces Mechanized Marine Division and the feared Black Dog Squad during the One Year War.Engineered with reinforced upper body armor and a high-output backpack to offset the added weight, the Spartan became a pioneer of Federation combat innovations. Its armor and thrust enhancement methods would later inspire the development of the RGM-79SP GM Sniper II, effectively making the Spartan its prototype. To blend into dense environments, the Spartan’s standard livery was moss green for concealment, though Black Dog Squad units adopted a fearsome all-black color scheme. Field units often carried camouflage jackets, smoke dischargers, and even Minovsky particle dispersion pods, reinforcing their role as masters of guerrilla combat.
